Some people believe birds are messengers of divine guidance; they believe birds, like traditional angels, relay messages of wisdom and advice at times when we most need direction. Unlike traditional angels, each bird brings its own specific message. -- Matt McKinley.

Angels and Birds is a group exhibition in which I also participate. It runs from April 2 to May 14, 2008. Reception: Tuesday, April 22 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hotel Triton's Mezzanine Gallery, 342 Grant Avenue, San Francisco.

Art reflects on the current issues affecting society and anticipates the emergence of a global culture. What Goes Around was selected to be in the programming for the 2008 San Francisco International Arts Festival. The exhibit is a juried group show where out of more than 300 applicants only 30 artists were selected. The participants are international and Bay Area artists. This show will include several of my large architectural sculptures.

Opening reception is on Thursday, May 1, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the ARTworkSF Gallery, 49 Geary, San Francisco. Everybody is invited!

I believe in the phrase of Dostoevsky: "Beauty will save the world." Through my art, I communicate ideas about beauty on many levels, including mythological, philosophical, and emotional. I also believe that we seek personal authenticity and grace in life, and we surround ourselves with objects that share these qualities.

Dear friends! Please mark your calendars! I would like to invite you to my studio during the upcoming Spring Open Studios on Saturday April 26 and Sunday April 27, from 11am to 6pm. It will take place at 2150 Folsom Street (between 17th and 18th St) in San Francisco and my studio is number 12. There is also going to be a show of the artists participating in this event in our downstairs gallery. It will be curated by famous curator Matt McKinley. Hope to see you there!
